Its the motor with the Stanger behind it. You can see that there isn't much left of the timing belt cover. It broke into about 4 pieces a long time ago. I originally planned on paying a ridiculous amount to get a fully intact one.... |
....but that was avoided when I was given a very nice looking set of timing marks made out of billet alum. Thanks Pat(pnrvegas). Also notice the Esslinger adjustable cam pulley. |

A new flexible turbo oil feed line. A heck of alot better than the stock steel line. You can see the old line in the previous pics. Thanks again Pat. |
The motor slipped right into its home. The install went real smooth. Even the tranny lined up on the first try. On the first startup it really had a bad miss. It was only running on 2 cylinders. Then 3 cylinders. Found out I had a bad injector. Had some spares and swapped it out. Now it purrrrrrrs. I love how it runs.

Further away and in the daylight. I hope thats better. See the upgraded 3 core radiator and dual electric fans from the TC. The big loop hose on the intercooler is temporary until I get the BPV installed. I figure I have 500 miles before I need to worry about that considering I won't be getting into boost for that long. |
This is the "honey" of a clutch that connect the motor and trans. It better be sweet for the $$$ forked out for it.
